Antivirus or UAC problem maybe?

Or aero? Disable desktop composition in Launcher.exe properties.

Maybe a problem with the conf.ini
Go to the folder "..Steam\SteamApps\common\il-2 sturmovik cliffs of dover" there you will find the orginal conf.ini copy this into your "..Documents\1C SoftClub\il-2 sturmovik cliffs of dover" folder.
This helped a sqadmate with the same problems.

Hey m8 do a net frame work fix , go into control panel - programs and features - scrool down to windows net frame work 4 double click repair then restart as asked then try again, if not jump on atag ts or anouther an ill meet up with ya an walk you through a couple other things , let me know?

we had a couple guys that had to turn off anti virus just to down load patch proper as it took something out in the down load process . BTW nice to cya again! try that if no go , give me a time ill meet up with you . let me know ?

Up to now I've reinstalled completely "steam version"
I've tried all of the above and more
so now i don't know anymore normally i'm able to fix things even do that professionally.
Ill be online nine o clock dutch I think that 8 o clock England
