Default Drawing a line under COD, clean start?

With Luthier's honest answers its seems that a line is being drawn under COD.
Maybe we all should too?

COD showed some sparks of greatness, we all could see them, but its never going to be what we wanted, it just cant be done.

I hope with COD, they have learned alot of lessons of what needs to be done from the release and what this community wants from the next sim.

Im going to draw a line under COD and with what ive posted here.
From now on im going to start a clean slate with what happens with the development of BOM.

More importantly everyone ive bickered with or had crossed words with on this forum gets a clean start with me too.

Good for you furbs, I'm fully with you. No argument that CoD was a disaster but even so has flashes of brilliance. We ALL want the sequel to work so let's support it.

Come on Tree, time to move on? You surely have all the admission you need that CoD was a basket case so what good will it do from now on?

I'd say the other way around. Brilliant with flashes of disaster. As soon as you spawn in the cockpit, it's 100 times more 'real' than IL2, even without decent clouds.

The current 'disaster' for me is the fuel mixture modelling for the RAF 100oct models, but fingers crossed this'll be fixed for the retail patch.

But Furbsy is quite correct. The time for bitching is over. We've all done a bit, time to move on.

And if the sequel turns out to be a 'Forgotten Battles Revisited' in all respects, we'll have no cause for complaint. But I bet some people do.

I agree to draw a line under it also, I promise not to comment on CLOD again.

Luthier I will consider this a fresh start with you too, you are now completely responsible for BOM, so please no more lies and no more pulling the wool over our eyes, lets start afresh.

LOL

That line was broken faster that a speeding bullet.

Apart from the above i agree with the sentiments posted here.. the bitching and squabbling has been both amusing, infuriating & very childish. Be great if all can move on and stop jabbing each other in the ribs at every given opportunity. Myself included.

Well if this is it then we "should" be getting the tools that Oleg had promised so the modders can have fun with it.There is a thread somewhere with him stating he would do this for us and the community.I have searched for it but cannot find it.maybe it was in an interview? I dont remember. If someone here has it please remind Luthier if needed.

I would not be surprised if the modders do something special with Dover.I have seen some brilliant things and have high hopes.

Good initiative Furbs. Let's give them a fair chance to get their act together in the sequel. One thing is certain, it will never be the disaster version 1.0 of CloD was

Default So long!!

Your right Furbs, Time to draw a line.
The "whiners", can have their day. Unlike 1c I don't have to meet a budget and so don't have to put up with the "whiners". It's best just to walk away.
I am going to spend my time flying rather than mission building and creating an environment for peopel to complain about. They can play their vanilla game from now on.

This is my last post on here apart from bug issues. I may view this forum from time to time, but I will no longer post on this forum. I support 1c and their game and am full of hope that it keeps getting better. I have taken down my missions and they will not be available, they are not suitable for play.

As they say " Draw a line and move on".

Awww! Never thought I'd see this thread in the banana forums with such consensus behind it!

Didn't complain / felt betrayed much myself as I feel I got my moneys worth several times over even if there were quite a few gaping holes is CoD. So yes, I wholeheartedly agree and think this'll make the forums a better place.
