If you have an Nvidia card, customise the settings for launcher.exe. Enable FXAA and add 16x CSAA, with 'override application settings' and 'multisample' set.

No Jaggies.

There's probably some AMD/ATI equivalent available too.

Sorry for OT Uther.

Tried that. Doesn't get rid of the jaggies or shimmering for me. I should not have to buy a sequel to get bug fixes that is just wrong.

Oh it was a pleasure to help. Please think nothing of it. Don't mention it. I'm certain you didn't set the configuration wrongly.

AA is not a bug fix. The situation regarding AA has been explained. If you'd rather criticize the company than use a well tried solution, fine.

I did exactly what you said as have many others and AA is not working. AA has been admitted by the devs as not working and will be implemented at a future time. Thanks for trying but it just doesn't work. If you want to post screenies of exactly how you have it set I will try again. The landscape shimmers like crazy and the planes are all jaggy even at high res. Its ridiculous they cannot fix this. It may not be a bug, but it sure is not something a customer should have to pay extra for. If all the bugs are erased in the next patch ok. But if bug fixes like flickering shadows and shimmering graphics remain, it is a disgrace to try and force customers to pay extra for fixes to a broken game. At a minimum they should provide standalone bug fix patches for those who do not want extra content.

The in-game AA does work, but not very well, and it reduces FPS to a large degree. However, none of the old IL2 series had in-game AA settings at all. None whatsoever. Any AA had to come from your graphics card's control panel, just as I'm suggesting.

If you're really interested in a solution rather than simply complaining, see ATAG_Doc's post #10 in this thread here;

http://theairtacticalassaultgroup.co...-driver-301-24

There are also some screenshots of mine in the thread, showing the cockpit and wing of a Spit with these settings.

Edit: Where it says 'WRC 2010' in the control panel, it should of course say 'launcher.exe'. This was due to the Nvidia beta driver recognising the app wrongly. This is no longer the case with the official Nvidia v306.23 driver.

Thanks I will try that, but no AA forcing I have tried thus far has made much difference. The landscape continues to shimmer (shadows too, but that is something else).

I still do not see why they cannot provide bug fixes for this broken software after the next patch without paying for them. That is really a dishonest business model.

Well, every tree shadow I've seen in my garden shimmers too, owing to the movement of leaves in the breeze, so I suppose that's a matter of opinion too.

As to bug fixes after the patch, maybe we'd better wait and see what they do fix in the patch, before complaining about what they don't.

Hmmm...........System Specs? Which card do you have? Game settings? It's best if you turn off the game's AA altogether, by the way, contrary to what I say in the ATAG thread.

Did you click the 'add' button in the control panel, then follow the file path to 'launcher.exe' in program files, so the control panel knows you're customizing settings for that particular programme? Then clicked 'apply'?

Sorry if this sounds patronising, but I'm just checking.
