honestly, like all the other il2 games, sequels are really just expantion packs, so if you bought cliffs, u'll still have cliffs, plus BoM and all the fixes included with it... its not as if you just tossed 60$ down the drain...
you wouldn't play pacific fighters standalone now that 1946 is out, but since pacific fighters came out before 1946 i bet you bought it anyway. so i would say play cliffs as much as you can, get used to the physics engine, like a head start to the rest of the game as it gets released.
