Kookaburra lives in the old gumtree-ee, merry little king of the bush is he-ee, etc.

Torn here. Mosquitoes/Merlins/Motorbikes, all from the same mould. Sort of. I want the bike though.

Merlins were a dime a dozen in Australia back in the 70s when I was in college. i remember visiting a shed where a guy had half a dozen lined up ready to sell to boat racers. Apparently the boat racing guys chewed through several Merlins a season.

They are also used here as tractor pull engines. The one below has been heavily modified with DOHC and produces substantially more horsepower than stock.
