Shame. There is much fun to be had, in spite of what you just said.

As to 'War Thunder', just the bloody title puts me off.

P.S. I couldn't watch the video link posted for some reason, so I googled 'War Thunder Trailer'.

So it's Gaijin. Again. Using the old IL2 engine. And why do we always have to watch second world war aircraft flying along to heavy rock music?

I like a bit of heavy rock music myself, but with second world war aircraft it's just bloody incongruous.

I am doin a bit hard to understand some posts...
At the end WarThunder is complete Arcade even on the "highest level" compared to Clod or even IL2- 1946.
The game belongs into the same box like World of tanks or maybe Hawkx (or what it is called)
It depends to everyones aspiration.
If i want to fly the most decent WW" Simulator i will take Clodo, not minding its still present bugs which arnt that tough as u couldnt stand it.
If i want to give it a quick shot for 10 mins online I would take WarThunder.

But WarThunder has just no simulation character at the end and that is actually the point everyone has to decide what to play.

Looks good, graphically. Would like to see more - weather, large cumulus cloud formations up close, water up close, forested terrain, cities, etc.....and cockpits! Certainly a certain crowd is targeted, but that hopefully will pull them still further into more involved PC combat flight sims.

Fly over London its VERY obvious there. I fly with everything on full and you see the buildings being drawn quite obviously ahead of you. It is not at all visible in WT, DCS, FSX, RoF, BMS nor is it visible in any other sim I fly on full settings. You are just used to it, like the non working mirror, flickering tree shadows and no antialiasing shimmering.

That said CoD has better FM and in other areas. Just not graphics.

Looks like a il2 orginal play with the amount of planes, but it looks like it is a "shooting" game for boys. The graphic is not good after what I have seen on youtube. And the RL features is far away.

I just checked the site out...$80 for 4 planes....no thanks! Plus more money for achievements, most likely.

MMO is a sad model, IMHO.

$80 dollars for four aircraft and access to a global beta? I got a better deal than that from 1C (still playing their global beta mind).
