So how is your beta testing going? Is there anything you like about it?

Are they still allowing people into the War Thunder beta? I may aswell give it ago since nothing much is happening around here at the momment. Anyone know how to get a key? Maybe Robtek can give me his if he's not using it? I presume he's tested that game to comment on it? Can you send me your key by messaging me Robtek, lets not let it go to waste now. But in the mean time can anyone tell me how to get a key just incase Robtek likes the game really and wants to hold onto his? Feel free to message me with the info. Thankyou!!

War Thunder is a nice game, it is really fun, but having to wait a few minutes to get into a map, which only has arcade settings in historical missions is boring, and then there are all those people with money instead brains which are financing this pay to win game. So if you dont spend money you are always the underdog, it's even worse in this aspect than WoT.

WarThunder is alright, I've been in the beta for a bit. It plays like the current IL2 1946 servers in hyperlobby when you queue for arcade mode.
The historic/simulation modes are a little more in-depth, but not much. More entertaining than the arcade mode, though. Simulation mode actually has you starting on the runway and taking off, stalls/spins, specific planes for a mission/era. The graphics are pretty decent, I'd say its more stylized than realistic, but they nail their point home with the art direction...there's a hazy vignette effect on the outside of the screen to simulate that you're looking through a camera of the era (in color) during 3rd person views, which is kinda cool. The canopy's glass reflection/scratch effects look great when you're looking through them with TrackIR, very well done. FM's are still being worked on, but you can tell the difference between the different aircraft and their strengths/weaknesses are very obvious and compliment each other. I received 2 beta invites yesterday for the multiple accounts I registered, so that totals 3 that I have now, hah. |

War thunder is exactly... nothing but a front-end for birds of prey... basically... world of tanks + birds of prey = war thunder
