Default The answer of Luthier to the little poll i made:

quote myself:

"Dear Luthier,
I take it you've read or are being briefed about the 48-hours results of the little poll i've put up. I do know only some 117 took part, so be it, perhaps the poll needed to be spread on a longer time base, that could be aranged if you should want.
Anyway, the results show that some 68 % of the voters would really like a serious update personally from you, about the future of CloD.
68 % is in politics more than a 2/3 majority or also called an "absolute majority". So a rather important outcome for a small poll.
So can i kindly ask you what your ideas are about some everytime repeated questions that i ventilated from the 1C Official Forums for some months now:
-in what time table are you and your crew thinking for solutions of the problems so far: months, one year, couple of years?
The point is that imho, most of the community would accept any of the three answers, because with an answer, even vague, we would at least have "some" clue. Now we hav'nt a clue at all.
I aso do understand your task as a programmer of such a difficult sim is of course extremely complex so i do realise the Devs. can't make "exact" promisses.Be assured that many in the community don't expect "exact" promisses.
But on the other hand, you being the lead Dev,i am pretty sure that you and your team must have at least "some" ideas on how things will or will not or can't be develloped since the major problems that arrose with , not for all, but for many virtual pilots with the long awaited last patch .
About unfinished though promissed features (weather, comms,COOP,readme, playable tanks, minor or major buggs etc...): Are you and your team still working in those items? Also here, a "yes" answer would be good, a "no" answer would be good as well, as at least we would "know" something.
The concluding question is of course: can you and your team and 1C guarantee that there is a bright future for CloD in the near future? Also here a "yes" would be great, a '"no" would be accepted as well, but if the answer is "yes", i hope you can give the 68% voters a refeshing answer, because as on say "The truth hurts, the doubts kill"
I wish you and your team all the best and i ( and the others) hope to have some real positive but realistic news from you very shortly. The poll is calling you.
Kind regards,
sincerely yours
Tigertooo

And the answer is:............NO answer at all............
I am 59 years old, my God how could i be still so naive as when i was 18 Some simple and polite questions to the lead Dev.Not agressive nor insulting, just evoking the wish of 68% of the community that took time to vote to hear something from the Boss.........and still, after 15 or more months of trouble for some......:NOTHING, exept a wet floor considered to be a "bonus" , some new pics of BoM and "some" bugs seems to be fixed. But nothing essential as asked has been said.
How naive could i be.
So i made my personal conclusions about "Cliffs of Dover: The Battle of Britain"
And here are my wishes the community :May God bless you all and have pleasant dreams.

PS:can i ask a Moderator to lock this thread as i don't want this thread to become a discussion thread. The only meaning of this thread was to try to get in contact with Luthier, inspired on the results of the little poll i made.
Thank you

I think you will find that Blacksix answers the main concerns in this forum and it's Luthier that tells him to let us know how things are going. I am in no way sticking up for anyone here because I am also unhappy with the game at present, but you are asking how long a peace of string is. How can they say when it will be fixed when a new patch could bring unforeseen bugs like the last patch did?

You should not take the no reply personally, I think that is their policy to not respond to individuals...wait to see what this next patch has in it, maybe it will be a good one.

The poll didn't adress B6, the poor chap, the poll was adressed to Luthier and the main question was not a time table, but only if he sees his team able or not able to adress the problems in whatever time table. So far they don't seem able to, hence the statement: " truth hurts, doubt kills" Luthier does know or must know,as a lead Dev, if he will hurt or kill.
Let him be hounest and say so, eighter way .
And if he tells B6: show them the bonus of the flooded floor and a couple of pics of BoM, they'll be happy again with that, personally that is not enough for me anymore for an update.
And i don't take the "no reply" personally, as the poll showed 89 pilots also would have liked Luthier to answer (89 is of course not much, but everybody had the chance to vote)
Silly me, couldnt resist again, too naive again lol

This is a very good input Toni74,never thought of that. the only problem is i can't find his e-mail adress. I Googled with no reults so far, i searched 1C forum Members with no results for "ilya shevtshenko " so far .Also when i start the sim and go to "credits", there is no e-mail
I would appreciate if you could post or PM me his e-mail adress.
Thanks in advance

Well, it's very obvious that all the updates are written directly by Ilya but posted by B6 so we hear from him almost every week?

That is just te poin, can't he , for once , be more specific in understanding that the community isn't interested in a flooded room?
Couldn't resist again but that will change tomorrow, after sweathing out the frustrations. At least no one can blame me for that i guess

He has far more pressing priorities, like keeping the development working. We'll find out soon enough if they are able to get the stablility patch working well enough to warrant further work on the series and its gameplay issues.

Whatever luthiers job might be, it's most probably not reacting to every whim of impatient foren-primadonnas, which feel entitled to the personal attentiveness of the boss himself.

But that is only my pov.
