Unhappy Sad news from Shuttleworth :-(

Pilot Trevor Roche perished in the crash of the Dh.53 Hummingbird whilst displaying the aircraft at the Military Pageant Airshow at Old Warden, Beds.

My thoughts go to his family and friends in this difficult time.

Blue Skies Trevor!

Default Condolences

That is truely tragic as these guys work so hard keeping vintage aircraft in working condition and then risking their lives to fly them for all to enjoy. I have a series of videos from the Shuttleworth collection and recognize it as a world heritage.

no idea, the CAA investigation will shed some light. I was told the plane dived straight into the ground, and there's not much to protect you in a Hummingbird. Sad times indeed.
