I tried fxaa and no luck. What I meant by "I tried the 186.18 driver" was that I rolled all the way back to that driver. I've tried other nvidia driver releases also. None of them seem to work.
I tried the X-Plane 10 demo (which is opengl) and forcing antialiasing didn't work in it either. It seems that my computer doesn't want to use aa in opengl. |

Could be some deeper issue. Sounds like a pain but remove TrackIR, Freetrack, whatever else you feel might interfere with the game.
Uninstall all of the nVidia drivers and then run some sort of driver sweeper... I used to use this one: http://www.guru3d.com/category/driversweeper/ Once you're free of all of this stuff get the latest nVidia drivers from their website and install those. See what happens. If you still aren't getting AA in OpenGL applications I'm not sure... but that speaks to some sort of deeper OS issue. It's very likely not a hardware problem...

Alright, thanks for your help but I couldn't get it working. I've decided just to reinstall xp on my smaller drive and put Mint 13 on my bigger drive. All I need xp for is my flight sims... Anyways, thanks again everyone for your help.
