It is a nice movie, but it is incorrect in some places, i. e. "Sturzflug" instead of "Sturzangriff" (Dive instead of Dive attack)
1st, you did not trim the plane properly for the cruise to the targets, the ball wasn't centered. 2nd, there exists a "Stuka Mantra", describing all the steps necessary for a successful dive attack, which were: 1. Throttle back, proppitch to coarse 2. Charger from auto to ground 3. If not done already: arm bombs, set release altitude 4. open dive brake 5. trim to neutral (all axis) 6. close radiator's 7. do not exceed 85° dive angle (control with a look to the left, compare lines with the horizon) 8. aim and hold aim until release (correct aiming point regarding the dive angle) after the automatic recovering: a. retract dive brakes b. throttle up, do not exceed 1.2 ata and 2150 rpm's at all times c. open rads as needed d. trim e. fly home 3rd, the Stuka has no "Reihenwurfgerät" (serial drop unit), this belongs to the bigger twin engined bombers. 4th, 2000m for a dive attack is gaming the game, in RL altitude was very important to stay out of the light aaa and to give time to aim properly or even to change target, when the previous wave did already hit your intended target. 5th, the fuse used was wrong for dive attacks (Tiefangriffszünder (low level attack fuse) instead Sturzangriffszünder (Dive attack fuse) 6th, the wing over attack was only show for the movies, normally the target was approached in level flight and when it just had passed the bottom window the nose was pushed down until the target appeared in the sights, this way there was no danger of becoming disoriented and one had more time for aiming. Sorry for critisizing so much, but with this corrections and in black and white, it could be a original movie. ![]()
