The lack of developer input is a significant reason for much frustration and ill feeling in this community.. i don't see the present situation as something to be celebrated.. but instead a tidy baby step towards what should have been going on for the last year.
Publisher is paid for communication. In case of 777 the publisher is 777 (with DCS it is the same IIRC). In case of 1C publisher outside Russia is UBI. You can try to contact UBI for updates and support on their forums. They keep the communications budget.

Come on you Pessimist get on the band wagon and buy a new I7 CPU and get more ram this is the future.

you old cranky system is just that old and cranky, can't handle the new engines.
Well thanks for your valuable contribution. Your ignorance is only surpassed by your ill founded assumptions. (FYI i've never had fps issues, except MP stutters that all have suffered from.)

I'm entitled to my opinion, drop the fanboy / whiner crap, its very boring.

In DCS both the publishers TFC & developers ED, contribute, depending on the subject. This is a Ic forum.. but Ic contribute nothing but host these boards. I just think the present situation could be a hell of a lot better.

It could and should be better, people forget were almost at the stage we should have been at release, not 15 months after. Were still not quite there yet though.

While we should all be happy development looks like continuing along the series, BOB is still a long way off being the full BOB simulation it was advertized and hyped to be(we all know the reasons)
I hope the patches keep coming though and before long we will be out of "alpha" soon with luck.

While I was never one to complain while the developers were doing things in the background that couldn't be helped by us, I do appreciate their inclusion now, when we forumites can lend a hand.

Have to extend my +1 to the members here who are doing things in their own way to assure a quality sim. Now's the time for their efforts to shine, and I think they deserve a pat on the back too.

Thanks community.

I'm inclined to agree with Dutch and ElAurens. There is a pattern of behavior with luthier to bite off much more than he can chew and leave things incomplete. After a cursory stab at the eastern front and a smattering of aircraft types, they'll move on to something else. Rinse and repeat.

The market does not give any other choice really. Try to persuade Activision or EA that development of a WWII flightsim can be profitable.

This is the best team in the world that is ready to work on a WWII sim and we are lucky the project was not closed 1 year ago or this morning.

After long and hard engine rewrite the things are just starting to turn to a bright side. B6 mentioned that they target more patches for CloD. Extra contents is to be done by the community of cause. No other choice.

There are not many high quality flight-sim programmers in Russia. Move to Moscow and apply to 1C if you are very good and very inexpensive

I believe the OP meant to agree with constant communication, on an optimist note.

How did this thread get dragged into the usual whine fest?

Carguy, I agree that communication is getting better.

I just have lost hope that this entire franchise will ever work. I'm not talking about just CloD. How can they move on to another theater when they are no closer, in reality, to having a stable game engine?

It's just taking too long.

The publisher will not continue to throw money at this project.

It's just my opinion of course, but I don't see any other outcome.

I'm not happy about it, nor am I gloating or glad, like some here are.
