At this point... the only thing left to do is wait till this next patch comes out, when the dev team is ready to let us have it...
saying anything other than thanks to the devs is really doing nothing but harassing them, or just complaining for the sake of complaining... since its not like their just sitting on their butts doing nothing... if you find any big problems AFTER the patch is released, I'm sure there will be an official bug thread you can read to see if someone has already found your problem, then if nobody has, thats when you can voice your concern. |

@Wolf_Rider
It would be a weird world to live in if nobody ever assumed anything. I pay my staff their wages because I assume and even expect them to have done their jobs, if I never assumed anything then I may aswell give up my business tomorrow. Should I change the word to expect and just leave out the assumed in here? After all I have paid. Last edited by PotNoodles; 04-20-2012 at 03:04 AM. |

Yes, but those assumptions you have, like your workers doing their job is because you already have evidence that they did it last week, the week before, the week before that and so on. To assume something with absolutely no empirical evidence is fairly asinine.
That's why I don't complain or whine about stuff I know is being worked on. The IL2 dev team has a strong history of developing a great product and working through issues. Some aren't as timely as others, but unlike the other modern flight sims out there who's main priorities are making stupid stuff to sell, these guys are flat out working on the most glaring issues in the game. You should see how many glaring issues, for example, ROF has, 3 years after it's release. The 1c team will not stop until they have a good product and the one they initially advertised. They are about the only dev team in all of flight simming that has actually prooved this while all the others throw their issues under the carpet or say things like it would cost millions to fix our game engine, etc. So my assumption for this sim being fixed one day is the same for your assumption of your workers. They have a history of it. But constantly complaining about the same things over and over again isn't going to make it come out any faster. I don't need to make an assumption to know this. I wish others could understand. |

No software ever has been completely free of bugs at release. There are problems that stop the product working and ones that can be worked around. Luckly for me I've never had the show stoppers in COD. Others have not been so lucky. But we all (should) know that inconsistant errors in software are the hardest ones to troubleshoot. We have already been told by the developers the scope of the fixes that are contained in the upcomming patch. It will neither be perfect or complete post patch. This isn't a problem, it's is the natural way of software development. Just like the original series I'm looking forward to the next nine or ten years of improvements and developments, upgrades and expansion packs. Bring it on! (but only when it's ready!) |

Personally I wish they would release the patch, the game is currently still in Alpha state for me, I cant play what i want to play for more than 20-30 minutes without a total crash, apparently this has been fixed, I would take that right now just so i can play the game i purchased all that time ago. It would be a step forward it would take the game from Alpha to a working beta. Simples.
Do I buy into all this last minute glitch BS, no. |

+1 Well said, my thoughts exactly. Let's be happy the devs are still dedicated to the series. If they were going to drop CloD they would have done long ago. |
