How to get rid of Grey rectangles

I'm in a single mission and clicked right mouse button. A small menu came up and one option was "New info window". When I closed the windows, I was left with grey rectangles that persist even after I exit the game. In fact, I uninstalled my game and downloaded a new copy from Steam and the rectangles are still there. How do I fix this?

Left alt and click the top of the window till it goes blue like a windows window then right click and delete...
