Saitek X52 X 52 flight stick throttle

Hi fellas, I just did one of those spear of the moment eBay purchases. I bought a Saitek X52 X 52 flight stick throttle, no stick just the throttle. It is used and with out the ac adapter. however it is listed as working perfect and the seller has a great history. i got it for $19.99 plus $7.00 shipping.

my worries are can I use it with my current stick and can the throttle be used as a stand alone. My stick is the Saitek ST290PRO I think i got a great deal on this even if i cant use it with my current stick. at least the color scheme matches. now all i need are some peddals.
