Not ahistorical of course though I had hoped you could eventually further upgrade all your forces at least to the level of 'regulars'.

Btw in the campaign will there be battles with 'allies'?

Also in time will there be a bit more diplomacy and castlemanagement (beyond Thorn)

Yeah there are a few battles with allies as far as I can remember. Big battles
