Yes. What I mean is testing is done to find issues. This can happen on final stage too. Thus they found a huge issue that prevents them from making big progress as they informed the community in December already. Some just missed these announcements and base their expectations on wrong (outdated) information.

And regarding too high expectations in general I wrote some time ago http://forum.1cpublishing.eu/showpos...&postcount=965

To me thinking of 50% increase always seemed to be too optimistic. Com'on don't you know Parkinson's laws The remaining 20% of work always takes 80% of time. It is true. Been there. (... or was it Pareto's? But Parkinson's are not better lol)

I agree with most of what you write, Ataros, but I don't agree with this. Technically you may be correct but it is so hugely in 1C's interest to promote in the west that in reality rather than technicality you are wrong.

Fact: Ubi is doing a rubbish job at promoting/communicating.

Fact: Promotion is required outside of Russia.

Result: 1C is promoting/communicating outside Russia.

Unfortunately, the way business works is that very little is done for "goodwill", at least in my experience. The party who has most skin in the game always ends up picking up the slack.

The existence of this forum? Due to the fact that promotion is required. If you wish to drag goodwill into the picture then it is limited to the fact that goodwill from the customer is required for the next purchase. Luthier has already made his views of this forum quite plain - I doubt he would bother if he really had a choice!

Having said all that, I'm having an absolute blast online whilst patiently waiting for the patch and looking forward to BoM immensely.

Yes. And the above does not make it an 1C obligation and therefore BlackSix's obligation as some may imagine. UBI has this obligation because they are paid for this as a publisher. MG is paid for development only. 1C is paid for communication within Russia only because it is a publisher in Russia only. This is what I mean.

Same with customers who did not have an obligation to purchase the game or sequel. Some here act as if 1C obliged them to purchase the game or a new PC lol This was their goodwill/freewill only. Maybe I should use a better word than goodwill

Post thanks for the words, ...

... but with all the Battle of Moscow talking, I hope they dont forget to fix online multiplayer. I am not at all happy with it. The game still crashes regularly after about 50 minutes online, planes are warping around like UFOs and disappearing suddenly.

I havent been flying for quite some time and if, I only was flying offline. Thanks to desastersoft we have at least a good campaign addon for CloD available!

Try changing your network speed in game (try xDSL or ISDN). This is not a common issue as I can see from ATAG forum thread on this forums or from videos recorded on ATAG server http://forum.1cpublishing.eu/showthread.php?t=29297. A lot of fun is actually going on there. (Launcher crash is a big issue though.)
