I'm missing, together with the Wing i'm flying with, no point at all.Hence we and i'll wait, as i am a patient man,but then again, in an update, i wouldn't call 50% performance boost "some progress",PR wise speaking, i would call it "a huge progress"...unless...i dunno
No problem on my side, i'll wait. Hence i'm married for 33 years

But as said , i'm a patient man, so good luck Devs, i'll wait.I have no other option
Is this the one your talking about. i see no problem with it, although I doubt they would be able to address all the problems in a few months, when its taken years to get to this point.

Call me old-fashioned but I think it is bad form. - If you don't like the restaurant then just stay away instead of going in there every day to insult the cook. How difficult can it be?
I agree and same people are wondering why there is so little info now. LMFAO We probably won't seeing anything in the updates, that they're aren't absolutely sure it will make the patch or sequel.

Guys this was not a formal dev update, it was a polite and generous heads up via B6 that they have made progress and are still working on the patch and they will take some time to provide some more info and screen shots on Friday.

So stop the crap.

So in the end, would have been better keeping quiet until Friday, and avoid sarcasm , negative comments and.... crap....? As you can see, any " we're still working" or " its coming" and " be patient" updates without more precise informations or new things to show, a this point in the whole saga, is kind of futile IMHO.
Those kind of " generous heads up" will always trigger more questions without answers, more frustrations and in the end, like you said, ...crap....
I personnaly prefer total abscence of " no news updates" so that way we just cant whine anymore... And wait for the real thing, like real new screens and patch ETA, so we could then whine about someting tangible.

SAlute !

I know what you mean, but while that's what you'd rather, others begin to complain about the lack of communication. You really can't please everybody, but since B6 has started to post here it seems a little less hostile (not discrediting all the work the mods have been up to recently, don't get me wrong) around here and we have been a lot more informed. People don't seem to be very patient with results, but since this is surely a time consuming process there may not be anything to tell us that we really need to know when people start to be vocal about being updated, so we get an update without much meat. Factor in the forum's tendency to wildly speculate about any morsel thrown to us and I certainly understand the team's hesitation to give us all of the details at an early state, or even any state before it's ready for release.

Having said all that, I am a little disheartened by the word choice (some, in particular) indicating less than stellar progress, but then it is supposed to be a complete overhaul, so I may be expecting too much too soon. All my skepticism is shooed away immediately with BoM screens coming though. I must have looked at the IL-2 a dozen times, and the prospect of more to oogle is definitely an exciting one. I just hope that all the demands of certain planes (Namely the 190, as much as I love it) will frustrate the devs and influence them to make the expansion less historical in the interest of those who want their favourite planes. I want an FW-190 or a P-40 as much (or more) than the next guy, but I think we may need to rein it in a bit, because if they weren't used in any significant way in the actual BoM, then I don't want to see them in it and Luthier has proven to cave in to complaints over realism on rare occasion.
