Thumbs up

And there's the money shot. Wow congrats man, that's one helluva rig you got there. I think averaging 30 FPS at max settings on this rig is testament to CoD not being fully optimized.

Two games I'd like to see this rig showcase or destroy is BF3 and AA2 with max settings.

P.S. Love the 3 monitor setup, looks amazing, thanks for posting the videos.

just curious, how many amps on the 12v rails are you pulling in full load? HOW MANY IN ALL? that's an unreal system, congrats on being so extreme!!

also how many amps on the ac side (120v/240v)

thanks!

Im using 12x 30Amp 12V rails with each GPU using 2 dedicated rails per GPU (8x 30Amp) with another 2 rails for the 2x PCIE 12v molex on the MB. (~1450W 120Amps used in total for GPUs)

Then there's the 2x 30Amp rails for the 24pin + 2x 8pin CPU (CPU draws about 400W & 33Amps) + Accessories (26 fans and 4 pumps draw 20Amps)

Total ~175Amps roughly = ~2100W load pulling ~9.2Amps (2200W) @ 240v @ 95% efficiency
Officially we are good for about 2400W @ 240v per socket here so I am right on the limit with full load. Although the circuit breakers are all 15Amp (3600W) across a few power sockets on each circuit. So technically I can draw a little more than 2400W as long as there are no heaters/AC, Microwaves, Fridges etc running on the same circuit.

These are all guestimates but seem pretty close from my testing. I wasnt able to run the system stable with a 1500W and 1200W supply so I upgraded to 2x 1500W PSUs. The 1200W only had a couple 30Amp rails with the rest being 18Amp so it couldnt cope with the load and the system would shutdown.

Cool! Just saw this thread for the first time. I understand the madness!

Makes my new build (in process) look both practical and pedestrian.

My new video card!

OK not really....

Same 'ol Phat,
Nice rig mate ...maybe you should dabble in solar/wind power technology to give a little back to the grid.
Did ya sell yr Audi or win lotto.....

Did you have to upgrade your electrical outlet too? There's no way one 20 Amp outlet can provide that much juice unless your running higher voltage...either that or your PSU's are starved for power.

I dont think you read my post very well.... I am on 240V and estimated I only draw 9.2Amps with both PSU's drawing about 1100W each at absolute max.

I have 2 power meters now and the system idles at about 220W per PSU and 850W per PSU when gaming and 980W per PSU when running OCCT System PSU load test. We can supply 2400W @ 10Amps per socket here in Australia.
BTW PSU's are a bit more efficient than I thought.

Hope that clarifies...

Hi Taipan,

Yep same old me... Sold Audi S4 2 years ago, now drive VW R36 sedan and wish I did win lotto!

Actually Eying off getting an Asus Rampage Extreme IV mobo and 3960X CPU as a late Bday present to myself.... You know just to stay current.

Looked into Solar actually but it doesnt pay off anymore now the rebates and feed-in tariffs are slashed. I would be lucky to break even.
