Struggling to register at your site getting this error:
Quote:
ataros@list.ru has already been registered or is blocked
Then if I try to reclaim the password using this e-mail I get:
Quote:
Sorry, no corresponding user info was found
I had to enter the security code about 6 times trying to login, register or get password. Even 1C forums do not ask for security code every time you login, it is not very user friendly enough in the 21st century you know I do not think we can ask our user-base to get through this unfriendly process.

When the HL client will be freely available without registration?

Its still in beta, but until CoD/Steam fixes its multiplayer stability, and the CooP interface becomes usable its going to be a while.

There were a few servers on HL but most of those disappear after Steam shuts down and restarts their servers.

Long way to go yet before CoD delivers IL2 1946 pilot numbers on HL.

I will have a look at your HL registration.

Thank you! I suspect mail.ru / list.ru domains are blocked (which is sad as they are the "Gmail" for Russia). Have more success with gmail.com now but I've got a message that my application needs to be approved. This is the most complex registration I had since 2007 I think most sites send activation link in the 1st message

Nice This means it is not accessible for 90% of Russian (and some Ukrainian, Belorussian, etc.) pilots including Maddox Games and Repka team Other forums or bigger companies like Steam, Origin or Youtube to name a few do not block it btw.

Thank you for information anyway. Just received an approval for my gmail registration.

So almost 8 months later and we are still at the mercy of steam....how does MG expect this game to grow if all the efforts of the server operators is in vain?

To be fair the latest patch introduced the memory leak for a lot of users causing lock ups,
but Steam also seems to have a problem holding the servers up for any length of time,
not sure how the net stats are for the popular ones, but they should be able to confirm server failure/restart figures due to steam or the server.

Clod is the only thing I use on Steam. However I have not seen or read of any other game servers besides Clod continuously going offline.

I am well aware of the memory leaks but i am also well aware of the disconnect that comes from steam that results in the "lost connection with steam server shutting down" and when you check the STEAM! logs not the games logs you will see a message saying "disconnected by remote host"...im just amazed they have not looked into it.

next time you start a server start steam first from a CMD window with the following arguments and see if the steam logs give you any useful info.
steam.exe -lognetapi -noasync

the noasync will get rid of alot of the disconnect/reconnect garbage in the steam log file and the lognetapi will show all P2P activity.

S!

Beta testing ends soon

http://hyperfighter.sk/modules.php?n...=8115&start=90

Updated known issues:

Known issues found during open betatest:
* Do not change mission name and description in hosting mode
* Autostart also steam in dedicated server autostart mode
* Game cannot connect the server and timeout (UNCONFIRMED/CLOSED)
* Game cannot detect steam and exit with message "Steam must be running to play IL-2 Sturmovik Cliffs of dover. Please launch Steam and try again." (UNCONFIRMED/CLOSED)
* Switching Steam cloud storage off user may lost control settings. Solution is backup/restore control settings via the game interface. (GAME FEATURE, NOT HL FAILURE)

I think there is anything more i can do so release will be published soon.

Jiri
