Hi all!
Since setting ON "realistic gunnery" gives ballistic trajectories of bullets fired, I guess they should also fall along their path due to gravity. As a consequence, I wonder if program either has some fixed vertical harmonization (i.e. compensation) set or this is linked to horizontal convergence. Thank you, GB |

To my best knowledge, vertical convergence is also modeled. The longer the convergence, the greater the angle that the guns are set, so a bullet should always pass through the center of the gun-sight at the distance that you set.

Note that your sight-zero is only for horizontal shots. IRL when firing up or downwards the shot will pass -above- the pipper due to path alignment with gravity. The difference ain't much but it's sometimes enough to miss.
Just to remember, these planes don't carry single-shot sniper rifles. |

Yes, "vertical" harmonization is present.
Actually, there's just convergence, no division to "vertical" and "horizontal" ones. When you set convergence to, say, 100m, this means ideal bullet paths from all guns will intersect precisely 100m infront of your gunsight (along sighting line) - regardless of what kind of combination of vertical and horizontal adjustments this goal requires. This becomes apparent for example on a Mk108 equipped Bf 109s. When you set your convergence to longer distances, slow mortar-like flying Mk 108 shells will first rise above the sighting line and then fall back down to cross it around the convergence distance. |
