Correct me if I am wrong, but I do believe it's just the version number, i.e. dx10.0, dx10.1 and dx11. I did try both 10.1 and 11 at some point but since these do not seem to be supported by the game yet it gave me a performance decrease/stuttering and lines on the water in the distance.

I might try entering dx10.1 again since I tried it before the beta patches were out and see what happens.

I tried that. Lockup right from the start of the mission.....
