Strange, could that be your pet.atom file thats not being read? I dont have that problem, but you could try extracting it and putting it in your main directory?

I have exactly the same error. Where should I unrar the data.kfs file? Should I create a data folder at it's location?

The file opens and extracts OK with WinRAR, why can't the game open it ok?

BTW I got the Steam version of the game.
