By the way you can save more than 2 files in it.

I have at the moment:
background_de.ogg (Aces High)
background_gb.ogg (Battle of britain march)
background_it.ogg (marcia Reale)

It plays all 3 titles.

a little how to:

Open VLC media player (VideoLan).
Click on Media (medien by me, have the german version), then on convert/save or ctrl+R (shortcut).
Then by the File-folder click on add.
search for your file you want to convert (like "Royal-Navy-march.mp3") and click on open.
Now it should stay added in the folder.
Click on Convert/save.

Now you have a new window.
On the top you see you file which you want to convert.
click on profile and search for "Audio - Vorbis (OGG)".
then click on the tools-symbol.

Click on audiocodec and check for:
Hook on Audio.
NO hook by originaltrack.
Codec: Vorbis.
Bitrate:192KB/s.
Channels: 2.
44100 Hz.
then save.

Click on "destination file" and put in the path and the name of your new file (don't forget the .ogg).

click on start and bingo you got your music as an ogg-file.

Save them in the music directory of your documents\1C Softclub\Clod directory.

start your game and and enjoy.

Thanks Kodoss
Not only it works nicely, now maybe the implamentation of music in the briefing room to specific missions through the FMB works also.
As some of you already know, you can attach music files to a mission. The main Background sound in the briefing section and various other stages, including briefings specific for a side or flight that get triggered as soon as select a side or a plane, can have different sound files.
It is has been a while since I was messing with it and I have just converted some files for the background music of one of my Quick missions and it WORKS.
I need to tame my exitment and test the other sound assignements and report back. Maybe they are not implamented yet but we are getting clooooser!!

You have to use this Setting:
Vorbis audio
44100Hz
192 bit
2-channels (for Stereo)
and then convert it to an ogg-file.

Save it under Users\...\documents\1C SoftClub\il-1 sturmovik cliffs of dover\music\

Start you game and "Aces High"
Is this 192bit/s ?

It worked momentarily for one flight but I cannot make it to work anymore.
FMB does not see .ogg files yet. I only sees the .wav. Editing the .briefing file manually did not produce the anticipated results.
I tried an independant subfolder and I tried using the existing "music" subfolder. I will keep trying different things and will post if successful
On a positive note, other music in place of background_de.ogg and background_gb.ogg works nicely.
