Hi Gman,

Basics of taking off are

Engine start & warming up

Checks
- Flaps set
- Elevator trim set
- Radiator (water/oil if applicable) open

Roll (taking off roll)
- Apply full power and full rpm (if applicable to your plane)
- Yaw to opposite of propeller moment (the plane will try to steer left for clockwise propeller from iniside and vise versa)

- After about 80 knots or 150 km/h depending upon plane, gently pull up
- Compensate the motor torque to prevent rolling on left wing for plane with clockwise propeller (from cockpit view & vise versa for ccw)

Build up speed, gear up, flaps up, trim elevator properly.

Landing
- Trim set
- Flaps down
- Approach speed (about 30% above stall speed)
- Final (hundred meter from runway) power to idle
- Smooth contact, try to keep the plane airbone a while slowly decreasing speed /alt so that when you touch, the speed amount is low, in order to avoid
jumping on the runway. Eventually truing the three point landing if possible.

In few words
Before taking off, SET TRIM, RADIATOR, FLAPS, ENGINE WARM
Rolling for take off, USE YAW, GENTLY PULL UP AT TO SPEED
After take off, WHEELS UP, FLAPS UP, TRIM ELEVATOR, COMPENSATE ROLL TORQUE
Landing, SET TRIM, WHEELS DOWN, FLAPS DOWN
Just before touching, POWER IDLE, SMOOTH TOUCH, APPLY BREAKES GENTLY, PULL STICK DOWN IF YOU APPLY BREAKES STRONGLY

Tips & Tricks :
- Set a free axis for elevator trim and adjust for different phases of the flight
- Set a free axis to wheels breaks (if possible separate for left & right if you have pedals for example)
