As one of the post release 'whiners' myself, I have to agree with Tvrdi regarding the playability. The Beta patch made the game 200% more playable for many reasons. Before I upgraded my card from a 5770, the game became enjoyable on medium settings.

I also play RoF a lot and have to disagree regarding the landscape. It's surprising that when jumping from one game to the other, two completely different approaches to this aspect can look so good in such different ways. With the old card, playing RoF directly after 'Cliffs', the RoF landscape looked bland and boring, but I soon got used to it. However, once I'd upgraded my card to the one in the sig, I could then play both games maxed out, and on these settings, in my opinion 'Cliffs' blows RoF into the weeds. I think it's ten times better, but I'm not criticising RoF, they're just different rather than right or wrong.

The cockpit graphics 'jumping' issue I completely agree with. There's something not quite right, and I'm getting RSI from pressing F12 to centre my TrackIR.

But on the whole, the latest patch is beginning to allow all of the really good aspects of the game to shine through. Before this patch I found it hard to see the good stuff as all the bad stuff got in the way.

As far as Multiplayer goes, I've been on the ATAG server a fair bit and managed to bag a couple of jerries, but I've also spent a lot of time wondering 'where is everyone'? The map is enormous and the info from the server and ground control isn't particularly useful as enemy locations don't get updated often enough. But it's early days for this kind of thing and I'm looking forward to when it all comes together.

Oops, I'm waffling again. Too much time on my hands at the mo.
