Do you really think a pilot could look back to the left like that? Just trying this at home in my comfy chair makes me feel weird. And the cockpit of an me 109 was very tight mind you. You could barely move. I assume a pilot attempting this would have to break his neck.

And since you mention it - especially during heavy G the head track should be limited. Looking back like this while pulling crazy Gs? I doubt it.

I can do that. My neck moves and my EYES moves too...

Haha nooo. Luckily I'm still under 30 and I do sports without any issues. I'm not an inflexible old geezer

I believe there is an "issue" here in the game though and it can be proven.

A typical human can rotate his head 90°. From there you need to move and twist your body.
In the game however your body doesn't do that. The camera literally is a 1 pixel object, not constrained by the "body" at all. I will attach screensots.





I find it questionable that any pilot could look back like this. Especially while still steering the airplane. Keep in mind that all this pictures were taken while turning to the left.

But yeah, you can move your eyes maybe but it strains them and you don't have perfect vision, especially because you can only see with one eye AND a pilot would typically have goggles on which also limit the ability to look to the side.

Also maybe they could fix the issue that you have to move your head backward to move the virtual forward when it's turned around.

You can get external views in full real servers, try Alt-F2. Do it while your parachuting though, not flying, as it removes you from the plane. At least, when you've already bailed out, it doesn't matter that you are no longer in control, and gives you the ability to pan the camera around and see your plane fall to the ground (or zoom up and stall, haha).

Thanks for the tip there. ALT-F2 is better than nothing, but still would prefer the FP view with trackir moving your head around. But still a good view.
