The new Sony one looks promising though.

Sure the technology has been around for a while but most of it crap and most of it not up to todays graphic standards for rendering game images. Not to mention the low res and the lack of decent head tracking.

The simple answer would be to increase the res and the FOV and combine it with some sort of Tracking support that is fast and light weight.

This thing is a step into the future. One day an HD full peripheral vision device should be possible.

2 things as food for thought:

1. Virtual Cocoon, a concept study. This thing has a curved screen providing full peripheral vision.

2. Flexible OLEDs. Imagine these covering the curved surface at very High Res.

I guess I kinda crossed line when I started with the TIR reflectors while pretending I'm a pilot so that Virtual Cocoon wouldn't affect peoples thoughts about me.

Good thing I'm married cause that thing would be worse than porn if your girlfriend found it.

Lolz at the amount of FAIL in the Virtual Coocon design

However those OLEDs dont appears to be weighed, so I guess that just a glasses with a cuved OLED can do the work if it have a nice resolution.
