Almost all joysticks out there have some sort of trim wheel though. What I like much better is this throttle quadrant here http://www.saitek.com/uk/prod/quad.html which could be used for CEM (mixture, radiator, prop pitch).

Although I'm not sure how binky9 trims with a rocker switch (2 state afaik) I'm all for button trimming and heavy use of buttons in general and for as many controls as possible. The reason is simple: easy to reset after a crash if you spawn a new plane.

Madfish,

I push the rocker switch up for nose up and push it down for nose down, until I get the nose where I want it. If one push is not enough, repeat. Same for rudder and aileron trim.

Using track ir as well I actually put the elevator trim on the pov switch and, very usefull for the 109, the flaps are on my pov switch as well, the wheels keep turning as long as you keep the switch pushed.

Just got the Saitek quadrant and am loving it, whole different flying.
