Well we do have ham as well,but turkey seems to be the most popular thing in the UK at Christmas.I do like the idea of trying goose though.I don't think I have ever had it.

HAM! Off course! What else can a Viking eat during midwinter festival ( midvinterblot) except for some pickled herring with a few scnaps.

I had heard about the herring,but did not realise that ham was so popular.A lack of knowledge of different countries I suppose.So are birds such as turkey,duck and goose eaten at this time of year?
