Default My Flying Legends album - Sunday 10th, 2011.

Hi everyone, haven't been around for a while, seeing as i don't have CloD and I was bloody sick of all the whining (circa May/June).

But I thought i'd pop by and share a few photo's from trip to Legends, since i know some of you like aeroplanes.

The first link is the entire album, but i'll post some samples.

Some photos from the album:

Poor old 'Doll

and my last picture of her, about 15 minutes before the accident.

I'm in love with the new TFC P47G

Enjoy. Was a great day!

Yea, I don't mind the small stuff like whats on Memphis Bell, but yeah the P38 is just terrible. Red Bull has quite a few disgusting planes out there, really detracts from the plane itself.

I do, however understand the costs involved, but there must be some other way to raise funds.

Oh well, times are tough

I saw your photo's I think, with the iphone? They were very good, considering.

I'm glad everyone likes them, thanks for commenting. And thanks for the welcome back norseman!

If we're going to talk about advertising on old planes, I have to mention Red Bull - I can definitely understand why some people don't like the logo on the side, but you must admit, they could be a lot worse. I'm just grateful that they are invested in running warbirds, and I remind myself that they could cover the entire bird in advertising if they wanted to - but they don't. I'm grateful for that, especially to Red Bull, a large corporation.

In fact - i'm surprised warbird operators don't do this (cover them completely), considering the costs of running even a single seat fighter these days, that advertising money must be very tempting. We should be grateful these aeroplanes don't resemble a circa 1970 F1 car (or present day F1 car, for that matter). Don't get me wrong though, I appreciate an authentic paint scheme as much as or mroe than the bloke next to me, but if it keeps them in the sky, i'm made up, and I tip my hat to any man willing to keep em up.

Besides, it doesn't really look that bad!
