Default Could my PC run this game maxed out?

Hey all, I've heard that this game has terrible performance issues, so I was wondering if it was possible that my PC could run this game @ 1080p at the highest settings without hiccups? Or is that just not possible at the moment?

My PC specs are in my sig.

Thanks.

S!

Depends on resolution, but a 480GTX can run any modern game with bells and whistles. I would set Texture Quality to High instead of Original and SSAO to Off. Other is to set Building Detail to Medium, Forest to Medium or High. Building Amount can be Unlimited, at least for me for some reason this setting reduces the pop-up a bit. But I would recommend experimenting.

The game still looks great on medium-high settings.

Only gtx580 can run it on high atm.

Im trying to spread the word that the best trade off I have found is turning landscape to medium as it appears to reduce draw distance by maybe 50% for some land based objects. This smooths out all texture hiccups even when running everything else maxed on my system.

I would rather have a little less draw distance for land objects and higher quality textures than the insane draw distance you get with Landscape on High.

GTX480 will do fine with the settings i suggested above.

Can someone confirm? If that's the case I'll be able to max it easily then, my GTX480 is heavily overclocked and beats out a GTX580 in every instance.

Not true I can easily run everything on high and easily get 200FPS with 8xAA so your overstating the capability of the 580 as the only card capable of running high. (keep in mind I have 4 x 5870 GPUs though)

When I turn textures to original and trees, buildings to very high my system struggles in London but just about anywhere else with average density buildings its still able to give 70+ FPS with everything maxed out.

The game looks OK on medium/high but its much better looking with very high settings and original textures with 8xAA.

The GTX480 should be able to do medium-high comfortably with the exception of over London where just about everything struggles except for the 3GB 580.

+1 to that. The only problem I saw using this setting is that the terrain mesh far away looks really strange, with even not so large rivers looking like Amazonas... With terrain setting to MEDIUM I can up all other sliders withou stutters, even in London, but I really dislike the far away terrain rendering. If 1C can solve that, and let the buildings and trees rendering distance the same, I'll alway use this setting in MEDIUM, as suggested by Phat.
