Chivas, the reason we have become inpatient is were waiting for the sim to be fixed.
If the sim was working well in SP(no campaign) or MP(no sound or coops) we would have something to do.

Were waiting for Luthier to tell us the game we paid for is now working.

Here's a tip, check out the Steam summer sale that's on right now. Some damn good deals there. Picked up Just Cause 2 and Wings of Prey for a grand total of 9€! That's a lot of fun for the old buck. Haven't played CloD for a while now but I'm watching the forums like a hawk, waiting for the king of patches to arrive.

By now we should have realized the game isn't finished and won't be finished for some time. Heckling the developer isn't going to finish the sim any sooner. Yes you could be very pissed the community wasn't made aware just how unfinished the sim was, but that would have killed the sim just as effectively as the publisher dropping funding. I also agree that the publisher could have stated it was going to be a paid beta, but I doubt that would have garnered enough funds to continue development.

We have multiple choices..
1. We can help the developer as much as we can with beta testing and constructive criticism
2. We can enjoy the features that are in the sim until others features are added or fixed
3. We can buy the sim and move on to other things and hope our monetary support will make a difference
4. We can wait a few years for another developer
5. We can spam the forums with vindictive negativity that can only drive away prospective customers, so we can tell everyone we told you so in an empty forum.

or 6, we could accept the humble apology from Luthier and team for selling us a dud, and be happy that the community manager at least corresponds with us on a daily or weekly basis reassuring us that our points/concerns and bug reports or being listened to and that work is being done to fix them, maybe even giving us a little taster of things to come. This very simplistic action would take a lot of heat out of the forums, sadly it seems that it is beyond them.

We've had an apology of sorts from Luthier stating we have every right to be pissed at the condition of the sim.

What do you expect the developers to say on a daily or weekly basis. Things simply don't get done that quickly. They have far more pressing priorities than baby sitting us as daily. A monthly status report would be much more informative. Atleast then they would have had time to actually get something done.
