Well, to begin with...you have [Render_OpenGL] listed twice with same parameters in your config.ini??? Something wrong there. The game plays either [Render_DirectX] or [Render_OpenGL] based on what it says at
[GLPROVIDER]. Does it say GL=Opengl32.dll there? That would indicate your running Open G/L...but it looks like you have a double paste and parameters listed twice with different values, it's no wonder it runs bad. I would suggest you delete your config.ini and let the game create a new one, then go in and adjust the settings in the front end gui interfaces (ie, the setup executable and video/audio settings and try to get it to run. You should be able to run everything in perfect mode with your system. Also make sure your drivers are up to date. And I'm not sure you can run it is SLI, so maybe someone can chime in on that. I don't think you need it though. 580 should kick IL-2 azz, even at max settings I think. Save yourself some electricity.

Aside from any problems... Berlin will bring a system to a standstill. Any system. It's an engine problem that has to do with dealing with large numbers of objects on the screen at once. It bogs down and it doesn't seem to matter how much computing power is thrown at it... Berlin and Leningrad are the two that you can't do much about.

Best option to see if things are working or not is to run one of the track recordings called Black Death and enable the fps counter and report back with the final reading at the end of the track (hit pause and write it down).

To start the fps counter from in-game.

Press: Ctrl+Tab
Type: fps START SHOW
Press Ctrl+Tab to clear the screen

yes, agree above. also, make sure you run game on one core. that seems to help fps. u should be able to get >30 fps over leningrad and berlin I think . i run old 8600 gt landgeom=3 and I do (but im running 3.0, so that may make it different than stock). your hardware is better, so I think you can too. go into fmb, open up finland map and put your cursor over leningrad. drill down to sea level and move the red/green/circle dealy bob over the leningrad city/buildings with in-game fps counter on that icefire says. You should be >30 for the most part. if not adjust your settings. black death is good test too and the benchmark everyone uses. i suggest try to keep minimum score ~ 30 on that. Your average, with vsync on, should be running around your monitor refresh rate.
