Latest patch installed ? Using original game without any shady crack or something ?

If yes to both: try uninstalling and reinstalling the game (backup your saved game(s)). It should work afterwards.

If no to either: change that :>

Have 1.7 patch reinstalled it, Uninstalled game twice same problem. This is the Platinum Edition with armored princess, which played fine. No cracks or mods.

Then I can't help you. A working full version incl. original patch (the right one, there are at least two 1.7 patches out there) should make it work perfectly. Sorry.

This edition is supposed to have a full version of Legend.

Found out if I went to the books, and kept clicking on it, eventually it would open. This might take up to 20-30 times, pain in the b-tt ut at least I can continue.
