No more of an advert than DCS, Falcon 4.0, Rise of Flight, FSX, many of which get posts, but many that do not get flamed?

Seems we can only have one interest in one sim and not share any news with anyone if it is barely OT.

I thought CloD users enjoyed Flying games with WW2 Combat? How is World of Planes so-far off topic and worthy of 'Flaming', when RoF is WW1, FSX is not WW anything and DCS is effectively future combat.

Why is it that if you share an opinion about anything outside of the CloD remit it is seen as an advert rather than passing on news to those who like to live in a world without blinkers!

Cheers MAC, appreciate the time and thought it took to pass on news, sadly many 'purists' now how the game already plays and what it looks like without the next 12-months of development. Impressive! I suppose they have learned from years of development only to be disappointed with the final result?

I said I will buy it re-read my previous post above. I collect them all just so I can have a part in supporting all sims. I always do.

And yes I do notice the plugs in here for these others as well.

Interestingly there is this same plug in the Birds of Prey forums but I didn't find one in the IL-2 Sturmovik forums. Why were our brothers other there left out of this fine release? They would love this. Please notify them.

And if it does, it will be 3rd person only

timej31,

this is an OT thread, discussing news of a game of the same genre and the same time period. If you don't want to think of more than one simulator at a time, nobody forces you to read this thread or join the discussion.

I have said before that I hope it's okay to discuss this here, and if it's not and a moderator disallows it I won't argue about it. However there are other sims discussed OT on this forum without problem in a pleasant and informative manner. So, I was discussing.

I feel I have done or said nothing here that's insulting or derogatory to anyone and that would call for a reaction such as yours. That's just uncalled for.

MAC

When all is said and done, another entry into the WW2 flight sim/game market cant hurt our hobby and we should give something like this our support. A great concept has been presented here, lets not shoot it down before it has a chance to go wheels up. S~
Not really a revolutionary concept, WWII online has been going since 2001ish (yes i know its FPS), the level of detail expected in a sim/game like this will dictate the flying aspect is no better than games like ARMAII or battlefield 2 etc...

Well I'm excited if only for the fact, that there will be a new WW11 flight combat sim to check out. They have a good chance of putting together a decent sim, I hope they have success...just flying above infantry is going to be a cool aspect for me.

MAC I have not been anything but completely supportive of all sims regardless. As I said in my very first reply to this off topic thread "I will indeed buy it just to support the development of more flight sims." I also alluded to the fact that "I will end up owning but I will (like many others sitting my desk right now) use the disk as a drink coaster".

Why don't you request they create a forum for these post in the root of this site rather than selectively placing them into the Cliffs of Dover forums? As I said before I never saw this in the IL-2 Sturmovik forums. I am still waiting for this to appear over there so we do not discriminate or forget about them. I know they will absolutely love it.

Whatever it takes ya know. I don't care. I will support the business only because I want more development in this but I still stand by what I said earlier. I will do it only for you and the others that play it even though I will probably end up giving it away to someone else.

They have a dedicated forum, I think an OT thread here doesn't hurt anyone, it only brings awareness to people, of the development.
