Default Why I can't play offline....

Why do the AI fly straight into hills and mountains? Is this historically accurate? I never knew there were so many suicidal pilots in WW2!

Suicidal pilots??? Primarily Japanese Kamikazes only: it is an undocumented feature in the sim, also known as The Darwin Factor

It's been around since Forgotten Battles as far as I know.

Yes I find it very un-immersive also: I fly on my LAN, or less often on HL

Cheers

Triad

It's because they don't "see" hills. Just like they don't see clouds.

Meaning you can't hide from them either

The AI learned one thing:

The shortest distance between two points is a straight line.

I'm thinking they need to drop the I, and just call them A's

It happened regularly in bad weather. I remember in fact a group of Fairy Battles lost to the coasts of Norway and a couple of German Ju-87 flights lost during a dive attack in Poland...
