Both the trackIR camera and the track clip need to be powered, so they use USB connectors.
The way it was on my trackIR4, the camera had a USB connector that i plugged into an available slot on my case and on the same stretch of cable there was a secondary outlet for the track clip pro. Ironically enough, whereas my track clip broke within the first two months of use and i've resorted to holding it together with adhesive tape ever since, it's still alive, but the camera died on me recently and i can't get it work. I now use the track clip pro with a webcam and freetrack as an alternative method. I loved the way it worked and i can recommend it, but i'm a bit worried about their overall longevity after having it malfunction within just two years, so i'm using a free alternative for now. |

I've had Track IR 3 thru 5. Track IR 5 with Track Clip Pro is way better than the previous iterations. I never (well, very rarely) have to recenter Track IR in flight sims or ARMA II anymore.
(My Track Clip Pro came apart out of the box too but duct tape holds it together without issue) Get it. You will never look back! Oh wait, check your six!~ |
