Default Visibility with clouds

Flying on server last night (non beta)

When I was searching for air and ground objects (eg planes and AAA) I approached an airfield. When a cloud was between me and the airfield I could see nice big black dots where each AAA and plane was situated even including a plane that was in a hangar. As I passed fom behind the cloud I could confirm those positions but it was far more difficult to see.

So effectively you can position yourself behind clouds and use them as a radar.

I confirmed this with another pilot. He was using ATI graphics and I was using Nvidia. Both DX10 Vista64 & W7 64.

So this is a graphical dispay error.

Every entity seems to have one of these dots associated with it. Ships have it located at the waterline along the centre of their hull. Trains seem to have it on their wheels. You can see the dots through terrain and clouds. Perhaps it's part of the scalable settings they forgot to make switchable?

Would be nice to know if they plan to fix the radar cloud issue...
