Before you start tweaking profiles...

MAKE SURE THE TRACKING IS ALL SET UP RIGHT!

Check that you are getting a clear, steady set of tracking points in the set-up screen, with no extraneous light interference. Move your head around and check the movement of tracking points, make sure you have an image in the CENTRE of the setup screen and that no points disappear as you move.

Get this bit wrong...and you'll never get a decent setup

First of all, you may find it hard to use and want to revert back to buttons.. Do not..its takes a week or so to get used to it for some people but once you do you will not fly without it.

Take a profile and increase the response about 100% but keep it relatively linear. You will end up with a V that is fairly shallow.. This will allow you to get full range without really cranking your kneck. If you have a lot of trouble aiming at first, create a dead spot in the center so it requires more than a tiny head movement to move the view..

Thumbs up

You will enjoy your TIR5!
Set your keys in the profile to recenter and turn off and on; a must.
When TIR5 is off you can use your hat switch.

Do NOT listen to this man!! Take the views OFF your stick or you will use them as a crutch.. go full immersion and learn the TIR.. it will be the best way to go.. trust me

I almost threw my TIR3 away..I had key presses burned into my mind and it was SO hard not to use them.. finally I decided to try it for a week and that did the trick.. I do not flt flight sims without it now..

I must concur, Forget your views on hat option, you now have trakir just use that, I use the hat switches for prop and mix, much more useful.

If you got the TrackClip Pro with your TrackIR be very careful with it. While the tracking is better, the build quality is terrible and they break too easily.

LOL, You need to set a key for TIR5 to recenter. Now if you do not want to turn TIR5 off and on that is up to you.
I like to make video so the out side view for me is better to use the Hat switch.
A personal option that I like.
