Did you try installing the patch following these steps?

1) Open steam, go to library, right click Cliffs of Dover, Select Properties and go to Local Files tab, click on Verify Integrity of Game Cache and let it run and download.

2) Go to \Documents\1C SoftClub\il-2 sturmovik cliffs of dover\cache\ and delete everything in the main folder, keep the shaders folder but delete everything inside.

3) If you want to be sure your conf.ini is set to default just delete it in \Documents\1C SoftClub\il-2 sturmovik cliffs of dover\ and it should make a new one next time you start up the game, you have to set your video settings again first time you start the game.

4) Download the latest patch and extract it to your desktop, then cut and paste all folders to \Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\il-2 sturmovik cliffs of dover\ selecting yes on any request to overwrite and copy and replace otherwise.

5) For ATI users go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\il-2 sturmovik cliffs of dover\parts\core\GUI\ and rename the intro.wmv to something different or just delete it, just be careful as it might affect VAC cheat protection in the future when playing online, so far there seems to be no problem to do this though.

Always best to start from a clean point, I also had graphical bugs like yours but following these steps cleared it for me and made the game run smoother overall.

Hope it helps.

Apart from that surely if this was the old Il2 engine it would be performing a whole load better than what it is, they have obviously reused some of the gui type stuff but then why wouldnt you, no point rewriting everything if it already exists, but this engine certainly has abilities that the old engine didnt.

Bottom line does it really matter, all we want is to get this working, its got a lot more potential in my opinion than Il2 has/had, but it is going to take a fair while to happen.
I hope instandly you got right !
But it feels like IL2 (OK better FM,DM,Map ec.). The Trees, the stutters, the ai,vehicles with humans but trains whitout ec.ec.
I dont want a another IL 2 like Patchwork:"you can buy Forgotten Battles and many planes has a better DM !!!" NOT ALL PLANES WHY ?
Ok i give you many money (but not the fullprice OK )
Sorry but i`m angry
I want sell the full price for a coherent Produkt.
I want to buy Add ons but not like the old il2 way.

I make a point of verifying the files and clearing the cache before patching now, though it had slipped my mind to try deleting my conf.ini, will try that later.

Thanks.

When you delete your conf.ini, just delete the cache again as well, yanno, to be sure

Hope you get it sorted.

1) Open steam, go to library, right click Cliffs of Dover, Select Properties and go to Local Files tab, click on Verify Integrity of Game Cache and let it run and download.

After this you´re back at the latest official patch. Just clear out your cache folder as well in documents/1C SoftClub/cliffs of dover/cache
