I've just bought and done a fresh install from Steam earlier today, but launcher.exe is crashing immediately:

Yes thats right but now i unchecked it and it runs like the beta patch wich was released on April 15th.

ive just had a dogfight two vs two over the sea with everything at minimum except special effects at maximum at 800*600

right on spot:

frames didnt go under twenty nor over 22, just like a movie

the problem is stutter on land caused by the buildings

if you have an option to remove all trees i dont see why cant you turn all buildings off

i did a litle experiment:

delete the sfs bob_buildings and substitute it by an empty sfs with the same name

now buildins appear as black pixels but even then have stuuters

seems the pc is doing overcalculation on when the buildings should pop up in view

or you just porked it more by trying to be clever......

Not sure I follow that. The Monday Steam patch is the same as the Friday beta patch except for any tweaks they may have made over the weekend.

Did you say it now works better with SSAO checked or unchecked?
