Here a sample.. that i modeled ..
![]() ![]() This is how you seat in an aircraft of that caliber above.. if you cruise to a point to an other you will adopt a more relax position but for a very little time due to you must check your gauges at all time and teh ground to always check where you can crash land safely.. I mean all the time, higher seated the pilot.. better it is on those birds with low fowarded wings and the vision is not that good in RL. Internal cockpits visions need corrections in ClOD ( i did corrected some some time RoF and Lockon vision ) Last edited by GOZR; 04-18-2011 at 06:08 AM. |

To me they don't look tense but rather like those who need glasses for reading but don't wear them. Ya know, those keeping the book far away because at normal distance they cannot read it any more ....
![]() The upper spine is a bit bent forward in a normal seated position making the neck sit slightly before the shoulders. That's not the case with the current pilot modell and that's what makes them seem tense. However, in flight they would not lean forward like in your photos - only if they wanted to gaze through the sights or see something around the cockpit frame me thinks. |

There are bigger problems than that! If your pilot is wearing an Irvin jacket, its sleeve is sticking through the cockpit and is visible from exernal view

I think the BoB era planes were fitted with a upwards pointing 3'' spike, hence the stiff/static posture.

This is right, Clodo pilots look all like some granpa trying to read his newspapers without the right glasses (you know, where the arms are not long enough)
![]() Not exactly the most urgent problem to correct, but to be corrected when there is more time. Because this is this kind of details which makes a sim look less artificial. |
