The game version is shown in the lower right corner of the main interface screen.

The patch will not work with an earlier version of Cliffs of Dover.

Download the patch and manually extract it to your main game directory which by default is

Your new game version will be 1.00.14072. This patch will later be overwritten by an automatic update.
extract the files to the il-2 sturmovik cliffs of dover folder

Even duct tape can't fix stupid... but it can muffle the sound.

Downloading, installed, and quick tested.
Much, much better. Nice job.
Game runs smoothly at medium settings (no stuttering at all) and almost smoothly at high settings (some stuttering over land).
I havent tested flying down low over a town yet, but from what I've seen so far it looks like it's getting better.
A gaming buddy on medium end machine reports no big changes for him, but we had been warned that this patch was mostly for high end boxes... It surely did a lot of good for me!

Screenshots (including a screenie of the settings used for each series of shots) are available Here <=latest screenies marked 'Apr.14 Patch installed' have FPS reported by Fraps in the bottom-right corner. (NOTE: 25-30 FPS is good enough as long as it doesnt stutter...)

Far much better fps than with the previous patch and similar than when using SSAO mod.

Stuttering when attacking bombers are almost gone.

AA seems to work properly.

This patch is looking really nice but I think buildings have to be tweaked I still have some problems when flying very low through a town some building textures don't seem to load quickly enough.
Grass seems to create stuttering too.

Intel Core 2 Quad Q8300 @ 2.50GHz
ATI 5770 1GB
4GB RAM

Graphical settings are set everything high except buildings and shaders set to medium. The texture setting is set by default.

I tried clearing the cache, still missing building and am unable to change the building amount. All other graphical options work and can be changed OK.

Still also much lower FPS over towns and cities.

Ok, solved my problem. Turns out I needed to run 7-zip as an administrator and furthermore couldn't just use the right-click functionality of 7-zip, but had to open the program and then do the unzipping inside its window. noting this if anybody else has trouble and can use the info.

Got the 1.14....-version tag and at just that moment the lady came back home and now wants my undivided attention... Aaargh!

Also getting wierd textures I didnt have before in LW campaign first mission (using original textures)

Edit - rebooted - still did the same - noticed gfx card fan was on high (mine usually stays quiet as I have 3 200mm fans & 1 120 in HAF X case) - switched Asus smart doctor smart temp off and back to auto fan setting - bobs your uncle, one reboot later no odd textures - so may just have been artifacts due to GPU running too hot - will repost if I get them again - but looked unlike artifacts I've ever seen before from temp....

Same as some others:
Edit - No grass., not correct. Seemed to have changed the foliage and where it is. No foliage on grass-strip/"runway" now. Just outside. Fair enough.
No tracers (sometimes?).

Otherwise very good patch I must say!

Mirrors can be on - just seems to take like 1-2fps.
Upped res to 1920 from 1650 - almost same performance.

Keep up the good work!
Za vashié zdarovié!

Similar fps than using nsaoo mod, but two things went bad:

- Now dont work (aparently) amount of buildings option. Every city has many many buildings, much of them are like simple brown or grey blocks, even over them. Some are changing from simply blocks to some texturized to blocks to texturized.....constantly.

- Maybe becouse of that, fps down drastically and much stutters near towns.

Nothin of that ocurred before (with nsaoo mod or previous patch).

Specs:
Intel core 2 quad 8400 2.66
4GB RAM
GTS 250
