I didn't have any of the GFX glitches experienced by many others (GTS250 512Mb using 184 series driver- XPSP3 4gb Ram -Dual Core E5300)

The 1 v 1 over the channel screen shots below were taken shortly after install with no patches and the only minor glitch is circled. You can see, like everyone else, fps dropped when closing in cockpit view. Since the patch it was even better and just playable with around 10 ac in the air.

I really don't understand why my system seemed to perform better than others and my settings are Model/Effects -Medium everything else low except Grass, Roads, etc OFF. Pretty mmuch as others with far better system specs.

I have just installed Win 7 and about to see if there is a further improvement using DX10

I've got a Core 2 duo 2.4, 3.5 gig ram xp sp3, just bought a 9800Gt 1gb from eBay for £35, game now runs good, plane detail high...everything else medium...trees off... Enjoying the game at last!
