Is it me or do these planes seem harder to hit?

It seems like every time my sights are on them(leading of course!) I fire over or below the wings and when I adjust it makes it worse.

I don't think its me because I can hit other planes just fine.

Side Note: I also find that these planes (Yak-3) rock in Sim mode or Realistic mode.
