Joystick Axis - Burning question...
For all you lucky "I got my pre-order already guys"
I have a cheapo PS3 Game pad for my pc. It works great and I have it BLU-TACKED to my saitek throttle quadrant. its a kinda poorman's X52 setup. Now my question is: Regarding my 2 thumb stick axis's on my gamepad. Can I, in the new IL2, map those 4 axis (up-down / left-right x2) to operate like the axis's levers on my saitek throttle quadrant do? ... ie when pushing up on the gamepad thumb axis the value (maybe for trim or left/right brakes etc) will increase and STAY increased - not return to the centre value when the thumb axis is released. So to act like a trim wheel of sorts. God, I hope everyone understands my question. I'll post a picture... And before all you well-meaning jokers say I must just get an X52... Don't. I am forced into this setup because no goddamned joystick manufacturer makes a HOTAS for lefties. Last edited by matsher; 03-30-2011 at 04:30 PM. |
