Please clarify:after a few minutes of gaming you can go near of the bombers without framerate drop?
Yes, after a few minutes near the bombers, I can fly around them without my frame rate dropping to 2-3fps. (there is still a frame drop but it is not so radical as during the first-second pass through the bomber formation)
I do not know if this helps but despite dedicating 2-3 CPU cores for the game, at the moment in question it is only one CPU that is working at 100% percent, the other CPUs reaining idle. o, at the crucial moment, the overall CPU load is 14% percent (of eight cores - 4 cores + 4 hyperthreading) with the first allocated to IL2 core working at 100% percent

@28_Condor:
Thank you for this information about RAM, I check the RAM consumption and whether this is the problem.
Despite your negative comment on WinXP, I think I have the least problems with the game using WinXP than other people I know using Win7
