currently got a friend in Russia, news is not all bad it seems.
Game is running avg32fps (which is fine by me) in a flight over london and the fields around it, game was on high/medium settings running on a q8400, 2gb ram and a 6870 with windows xp.

He does say there are a fair few graphical bugs, but that a patch is about to be released which promises to solve a fair few of them. Also there is no crossfire support but once again this is to be added in "weeks not months".

Sounds... good, even great. Look at those graphics, this will be awesome when it hits steam!

Flying over a city is a just like WOP for FPS but better graphics, The airfields dont affect FPS at all.

U dont get it do u?

All those "issues", if there are any, (excuse me for not trusting a handfull of users making complaints 30 min after installing the game) is something every sane person expects from a brand spanking new release.....except u.

Just because u "predict" (dont make me laugh) that everything will be sh*t doesnt make u right on individual issues.

To put it in a way even u understand: If u toss up a handfull of gravel straight up in the air, at least one is bound to hit u in the head.

Doesnt make u clever, or the messias in predicting it would happen, it kind of makes u "dense" for thinking it WOULNT happen.

The fact the u pat your selfe on the back publicly when it DOES happen kind of reinforces the "dense" part. (trying to use as kind of a word i can not to offend anyone)

Get the differance?

Well the simple answer to that is that all the concerns i raised have come to be. hopefully these will be fixed, but saying that in this day and age we should expect to have an unfinished product on launch is frankly dumb.

I'm quite concerned about humankind, i'll make sure to cheer enough the day we eventually go under and break out the nukes or get our asses whopped by the sun, its just a matter of time after all.

Cool huh i can predict the futurezor

There u go again "unfinished product", thats YOUR words (to hit home a bit easier).

Personally, i dont trust ANY "reviewer" whos making complaints about the game hours or even minutes after installing it.

WTF, what kind of attention span/patience do someone posses to be that whiny. Seriously.

Edit. I bet its the same nutjob who wanted "killstreaks" so he could earn a flying fortress riddled with cannons to kill averyone and everything. "That would be cooool"...dho.

Following that reasoning IL2 1946 is an unfinished game since we get new users posting about problems to this day.

Well im buying it simply to support them, without a successful initial release there is no hope so im happy to contribute, also remember this is ubisoft fault not the developers and everyone who knows 1CMaddox track record should not be worried.
I'd do the same for RO2,DCS,ROF etc if anything would come up simply to show support for developers that care, its a rare genre as it is pc gaming and simulation even more so.

It seems like all the HD6xxx series are doing a lot better than the Nvidias so far.

I think we should throw Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan into the volcano.
