I'm currently reading the German manual someone linked in another thread. Unfortunately i don't speak German, but thanks to a forum member who ran it through a translator and linked the resulting text file it's possible to understand most of it.
Head bobbing is mentioned in the manual and it's also visible in the realism options screen if you watch the developer diary video that's been posted in another thread.

EVERY GAME ends up with the "epilepsy filtering whatever that is" (meaning just changing light intensity differences) and further must have health disclaimers. It's a common thing, it's there for legal reasons.
I think that even animation movies watch out for "dangerous flickers".
So I don't see why people want to burn down ubisoft because of this.

Truth be told, they could have communicated a lot of stuff in a better manner, this being one of them. A temporary FPS glitch on such a complex product that will receive loads of patching in the coming weeks is not the end of the world, i agree. It's just that people could compromise easier if they had been given some time to digest this information, that's all really
